UnitedHealthcare Book of Business Transfers

UnitedHealthcare's policies and procedures have changed for single and/or book of business transfer requests.

The request for single and/or book of business transfer must provide the following information:
  • A letter to UnitedHealthcare with specific instructions to transfer business and must be signed by principals of both parties.
  • The book of business that is to be transferred along with the customer/policy numbers.

A notation will always be needed within the notification or documentation that all affected customers/policy holders have been notified of the transfer/sale. Transfers will not be processed without the above statement. This is to ensure that proper disclosure has been made to the customers/policy holders.
