UnitedHealthcare Inpatient Admission Notification Requirements
Inpatient notification requirements will change effective January 19, 2010 from 72 hours to 24 hours in all states with the exception of Maryland, Nevada and Washington. The 50 percent reimbursement reduction does not apply to weekends and holidays or to Options PPO products. Enrollee notification requirements apply based on each enrollee’s Certificate of Coverage or Summary Plan Description.
